8 NPC Pack — Top-Down Pixel Art Town & Village Characters

Bring your towns to life with 8 fully-animated NPCs, each with idle and walk in all 4 directions. Drop them into any 2D RPG, roguelike, or top-down project — villagers, a guard on patrol, a blacksmith by the forge, a merchant at the market stall.

Drop-in compatible with the Tiny Questers hero classes (free Warrior, Mage, …) — same pivot, same 64×64 body, same animation workflow. Heroes and townsfolk line up on the same tile grid.

48 clips — 8 NPCs × (idle ×2 + walk ×4). Left and right are both hand-drawn, not mirrored, so every facing reads naturally.

• Blacksmith — axe-carrying craftsman for the forge

• Guard — spear-wielding town watchman

• Old Man — staff-leaning elder (extra-smooth 7–8 frame clips)

• Village Man — everyday male villager

• Town Girl — young townsfolk

• Female Villager — everyday female villager

• Merchant — coin-pouch trader for the market stall (extra-smooth 7-frame side walk)

• Barmaid — apron-clad tavern server for the pub & inn

Animation Set (per NPC)

• Idle — down / up (back view)
• Walk — down / up (back view) / left / right

All clips are seamless loops. Drive walk_down / up / left / right from the move vector and fall back to the matching idle when the NPC stops — instant 4-direction movement.

Bonus — Shop Signs

Included free: 7 hanging wooden shop signs (potion, magic, sword, shield, beer, coin + a blank board) and the 6 matching icons on their own — all 48×48 PNG. Hang them over doors to label the alchemist, tavern, smithy, or bank, or drop your own icon onto the blank board.
